Music retrospective.
The Bee Gees were a pop band that were most popularly recognized
to consist of three brothers; Barry, Robin and Maurice Gibb that became popular
during the late 60’s to the early 70’s and in the late 70’s. Their contribution
to the classic film “Saturday Night Fever” gave its soundtrack album the title
of the “Top-Selling Album” in history until Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” was released.
They pioneered their Disco-song oriented style of music and became a success with
their music. They also wrote all their own hits and helping produce and writing
hits for other artists. Their impact on the music world is undeniable and they
have been together for around for a very long time. Unfortunately, as of now two
of the brothers have passed leaving Barry as the only member left.
The way that the band is most well known is for their form
of music, which is disco. They have the sort of techno-feel that most disco
has, but it also is very song centric. The songs have a lot of lyrics involved.
They’re quite dynamic in that regard. They have a focus on using the song
rather than the beat. This adds a flavor to their songs. A sort of spice to the
rhythm if you could call it that. All in all, their contribution to music isn’t
easily forgotten as they have put a good staple in pop culture, and their names
will go down in history. I honestly can’t imagine a world without the Bee Gees.
